priory fields gets a "good" rating but the other 2 mentioned merely say they have been uprated but not to which standard.

I dont believe in the Ofsted system personally. I go very much by what I see. The small things which gets unnoticed.

The tick box system is never reliable, with schools personal recommendation and gossip is always better.

You have a very good point there Heike, but it only works if you know the school. If you are not familiar with a school it is hard to make an objective judgement from a school open day or visit.

yes and no Judith. I think sometimes it is better not to know a school and make appointments very short noticed helps the case. It already shows in conversations and how ready a school is to give you a timeslot.
This to me is a starting point and I am looking at small things to some is pathetic to some its a laugh. But small things can say alot.
I dont just say it ... sadly gone through it. Got to say with Experience you are wiser than before :)

Spitting in the street is a disgusting habit, thankfully only done by the ignorant and revolting members of our society.

The problem is that it is not illegal although councils can bring in local by-laws. Waltham Forest successfully prosecuted two individuals a few years back. Whether they paid the fines is not known.
