I have noticed lately that when collecting prescriptions from 'Boots the Chemist' the pharmacist transfers the medicines into their own branded 'blue boxes' that they may inadvertently forget to include the important leaflet from the original packaging.
I advise all to check with the pharmacist as you may not be aware of the intricacies of said prescription

I never use Boots pharmacy I nearly always use the friendly independent, but very slow, Paydens

near the shop.
Why on earth do Boots change the packaging surely it is time consuming and therefore costs them money. As you say the leaflets are very important I always read them with a new drug.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

i thought the rules were that everything is dispensed in the original packaging.
i know in the past that chemists used to decant into their own containers meaning that their was no leaflet.
i always find the one in pencester gardens efficient and friendly, boots always seems to have a queue.

Payden's is my local chemist, the staff on the whole are marvellous and were superb with my partner when he was ill including doorstep deliveries of his medication

I've never had a problem with Boots, there's usually more of a wait in Pencester but not too long.
Back to the original point, they probably only split packs when a GP prescribes a non-standard amount but you should be able to ask for the info.
