our local detention centre is coming in for criticism in the they take in getting shot of the undesirables there.
the uk border agency says that the inmates are not complying with the removal process thus lengthening their stay.
"not complying.............."?
UKBA, "Mr Abdul, will you please pick up your things and proceed to the door; you are being flown home to your own country today?"
MrA, "Will I still get all my state benefits when I get home?"
UKBA, "No".
MrA, "Well, thanks but no thanks, I'll stay here in softy Britain. Close the door on your way out please".

i did not know what "complying" meant.
i do know that some of our visitors refuse to state their originating country, maybe that could be part of it?
Plus even when identity and nationality are known many Embassy/High Commissions are unwilling to provide documentation which does not help matters.

Howard, that is why Labour wanted to build tens of thousands of new homes in Kent, to house the whole lot of mass immigrants! There is no natural population increase of British people at this time! It is a good idea that the local Councils have started projects for renovating already existing derelict houses by giving loans to the owners. You see, we have enough houses, but Labour obviously reckoned that there were not enough in Britain for 10 million new settlers from every corner of the globe.
To put some figures to the problem, last week's figures from the Office for National Statistics show immigration to the U.K. to be running at 503,000 per year.
At present 1 in 10 of people living in Britain was born abroad.

So now you see, Howard, from Bob's statistics, that if we are not careful, our County will be full of new houses before long. That we would have to pay for, so that immigrants can move in! Do you see the point now about my Wealden economy thread. Better our Country goes bankrupt and the immigrants give up, and we simply cannot afford to build them houses to live in! This is my new idea. Until two days ago I would have done so much to help Britain's economy, but because I see that gov. only gives our money to every bankrupt and non bankrupt e.u. state in Europe and writes unemployed British people off and our young generation off, and gives everything to settlers coming in and to hundreds of millions of Europeans in Europe, I have radically changed my mind, Howard!
That's what happens when peoplel go too far!

fret ye not alexander, there is no market for new properties, there are too many run down and derelict ones for "rachman" type landlords to rent out.
