    Sitting here in Paris, all I can say is that I feel less a foreigner here than I do in London.

    No sign at all in 6 days of anyone who considers that they need to cover their face.

    Few languages heard apart from European ones.

    Excellent metro which feels safe to use and is clean and regular.

    I always considered that 'wogs start at Calais'. I did not realise it was when one was heading north.

    I'm certainly warming up to the French idea of the state letting failed asylum seekers either starve on the streets without support or sod off back 'home'.
