Good to see you posting again Jacqui. I hope you get your problems sorted out soon as I know my son was in a lot of pain before his op.
He was older than you when he had a hip replacement ( 50ish) and was pleased with the result!
I know that young Grandchildren are better than any painkillers and certainly more enjoyable.
I like Jans idea of smiling at everyone to encourage them to be helpful......I’m sure it works so long as one has their dentures in place!
