    Howard, much as I agree with you that it is better to stay in your own home there are cases when that is not an option. We then have the problem of finding a suitable care home and with KCC cutting back ( i.e. Sampson Court) affordable options are stretching peoples budgets.
    I have seen both sides of the care system and although the CCG is better than nothing it still leaves a lot to be desired. How horrified we have been to see the reports of neglect and abuse reported at care homes and hospitals in the news and this gives rise to the question, are the right people making a career out of caring?
    Currently we are being told that lack of care of the elderly is costing the NHS millions and that we should be addressing the issue of preventative treatments. Which brings us back to the point, where are the hospital beds for those that need treatment?
