Bills Bait and Tackle is 121. The Flagship is 115. That makes 119 the left hand side of the "new" double building. The road is numbered sequentially i.e 115, 116, 117 etc.
Hope that helps.

You can see a tiny fraction of 119 here

Thanks a lot Terry. I have expanded the Ordnance photo, but can't see the fraction of 119 you refered. Is it in the doorway or up on the .....UT BROWN sign? Do you think this is a 3 story building.and the brick wall adjacent to the car park in my photo would be the original.

Yes, that's it Brian. At that time it seems that 119 was possibly a newsagent, the sign being Nut Brown, a tobacco. I do have some pictures of Snargate St, I used to work at 132, but not there unfortunately. If Kath Hollingsbee is reading this she may very well look through Bob's archive.
I doubt if there is anything original left Brian.

Many changes over the years. In 1938 it was A W Gander, a hairdresser. What sort sort of era do you want to know about Brian F ? Thanks for that Brian D.

Thanks for your help Brian D and Terry N. My mothers Great grand father was John Fox the Book Binder and seller He sold up in 1858 and inigrated to Australia with his wife and eight children. I was interested which site was 119 as they seem to vary in road frountage width, together with the two vacent sites between 119 and the Pub. Many thanks to you both for your trouble Brian F
