Before he was Alvin Stardust he was Shane Fenton and the Fentones, I heard Brian Poole of Brian Poole and the Tremeloes being interviewed the other day, he is now 69 and still singing most nights, a 69 year old singing Twist and Shout

brian poole used to run a butchers shop in manor park east london.
i think he went back to it after his brief pop career.
