  We were warned yesterday to expect treacherous underfoot conditions this morning but when I went out some concerned citizen had gritted the entire pavement on one side from the top of the hill down to the Folkestone Road. Will have to order some more as there is no sand left, suppose it will be Kent Highways to contact.

  KCC I believe Howard.
  We had a heavy shower shortly after 6 this morning which left our drive and pavements like an ice rink, driving Abbey rd over to alkham valley was a badly choreographed ballet trying to stay out of the hedgerow

  A bus driver said that it was snowing at 5.30. then turned to rain and froze
