Quite a timely comparison. Maybe it's about time I walked the Town again.

Dover doesn't have an organisation supporting or moving it forward either.

On the other thread about regenerating Dover, I said I had written to DTC, DDC and DHB about the Mary Portas review and all had replied in a positive way.

Subsequent to that, I received a reply from Sue Jones (Town and District Councillor) advising that a meeting had been set for February 23rd. where a number of local business people had been invited to discuss the merits of the application and how it can be progressed.
This is being TC led, but hopefully with input from the DC and where required, DHB too.

I do hope this can get off the ground and result in a successful application, which if Dover wins, will mean around £80,000 coming to Dover for improvements.

Not a great amount I agree, so what do you think it could/should be spent on to give maximum benefit to Dover ?

Interesting and useful suggestions, I'll take to the meeting.

    Roger
