Hats off to you Ian. I know of fewer people with the type of dedication you show.

Not long ago I was walking past the river at the old B&Q car park (going into that tunnel that leads to Charlton Centre) and my young lad James spotted a shopping trolley in the water. We made a joke about the fact that there are so many shopping trolleys in rivers these days that they should be listed as freshwater wildlife. It was funny at the time, you probably had to be there.

But it did make me think about this type of vandalism, and surely local stores should take some of the responsibility when their hardware so often finds its way into the water?
