Easily - get over it - this was 20 odd years ago. I have no idea what your family went through and perhaps if they had the sense to ignore the Scargill thugs and go to work thing might have been better for them.
I will not excuse any wrongdoings by working miners either. Two wrongs do not make a right but what you do not reference to is why they retaliated and what the working miners went though.
At the end of the day you have to judge this by the cause being fought over. Your family clearly chose the wrong side. Scargill had to be beaten for the good of the country. He was beaten and we are all the better for it.
