I work very closely with many tories and get on with them very well.
The strike was only a small part of our mining history here in Kent with the miners and their families having the most impact on our communities and the whole story needs to be told and remembered.
BarryW has it right about Scargill and the others but he has not got a clue about Kent Miners and I no longer take any notice about the nonsense he writes about them. He is simply a shadow of a man alongside all those brave miners who lost their lives working in our pits.
No one would have scrubbed his back for him, even if he had the gumption to take on such a dangerous job.
