very impressive indeed in just 4 years, some very determined and talented people about.
Nice one, chaps. What more can I say - I am blown away with that kind of achievement.

Some feat eh ?
Well done to everyone who has contributed over those four years too. The last I heard they had raised £34 million, so a massive increase since then - about a year ago.

My wife Gloria and our next door neighbour Mrs. Hazel Wouldham have sent 500 welfare boxes to our services in Afghanistan in the last 12 months.
Customers and staff at Corinnes Hair salon in Whitfield donate goods for us to box up, Corinnes husband Phil also does the same from his work mates at the Channel Tunnel at Folkestone. They also have collection tins which are regularly emptied and Mrs. Wouldham uses the money to buy various items at local Dover stores. I just print out the labels and stick them on the boxes along with the Customs label. The ladies at Whitfield Post Office are very good and also contribute to the boxes. They go post free if under 2 kgs.
Here is a photo of the 500th. box. sent last week.

They are indeed Richard and so is the Royal British Legion, both raising funds and awareness for our injured forces personnel.

It was nice to see you in the Age Concern shop yesterday Jan (Mrs. Higgins). Many thanks for your donation to the Help for Heroes fund. My wife took it over to Corinnes hair salon this morning to place in the contribution box. It was much appreciated, many thanks.

It was very nice to meet you Alec and thank you very much for your donation, it was a shame I was too busy for a proper chat.

Hey guys! So you all know that my little bro is out there ( home for 2 weeks r and r) and he says that the best thing is getting packs they are not expecting! He loves them , as do all the lads.
We have missed the date now to ensure they get them for Christmas, but i am now sending new year stuff, like balloons and silly hats etc, so they can celebrate.
Iain also loves flapjacks, as sometimes the lads have dicky tummys, and that settles them right down. Good knowledge to have!!
