This weekend I met one of my idols, Suzi Quatro! Who remembers 'Devil gate drive' and 'Can the can' or Leather Trocardero in Happy Days? We were at the Aquarium Club for a charity event in support of the Woman's Aid Organisation and Suzi performed along with her daughter Laura. I could just about stutter "You're one of my idols" when I met her, she was absolutely lovely and damn does she look good!

I remember seeing Suzie Quatro at the leas cliff hall probably late 70's. She doesn't look as though she has aged at all. Is she still singing and rocking as well ?

Suzi was as fabulous as ever, her voice is great and she doesn't look as though she has aged at all. Sometimes when you meet someone who you have idolised they turn out to be, well......not so amazing or worse still rude or arrogant but not her, she was really lovely and she lives in Essex not far from me! Her ex husband and now (I think) manager, Len Tuckey hasn't aged as well.

Oh Jeane,
You are SO lucky!! Suzi was one of my idols when I was younger and I still love listening to her music now. Last time I heard her was on a long car journey and she was on the radio talking about some of the "older" stars and playing their music - fantastic! She looks really good doesn't she - wonder what her secret is lol. Thanks Jeane for bringing us this "blast from the past" that is Suzi Quatro. xx

Thanks Marek, that takes me back. We did a 'Top of the Pop's' style school concert when I was about 12 or 13 and I dressed up as Suzi and sang 'Devil gate drive' with my cardboard guitar!

Amazing Jeane!!
A guy I know is a cab driver in Canterbury and not long ago he gave a ride to a group of old rockers that he'd never heard of who had just been performing. Just some old guys by the name of the New York Dolls. When he told me I almost fell backwards and went pale!!! Jammy git even got a photo with them on his mobile! And he was SOOOO unimpressed, he thought they were just some local old boys jamming it up in Canterbury! I ask ya!

Rick, wow The New York Dolls, lucky guy pity he didn't appreciate them.
Terrismark, it's weird five (yes FIVE) separate people have now mentioned a resemblance after seeing the photos. I don't see it myself but I'd happily like to be mistaken for Suzi Q!
