I dont want you to miss out! On January 22nd at Dover Town Hall is a fund raiser for Dover RNLI and Dover Regatta.People moan they don't know what is going on and then don't turn up because they forgot.

The Event is called a Celebration of the Sea and is on Sunday(not alot happening on a Sunday afternoon so no excuse) 3pm Dover Town Hall. The RNLI always needs money and living by the sea we know how vital they are and of course self funding...and the Regatta is of course our great annual 2 day event. They are having their funding reduced by the Town Council so they stand alone eventually they of course would welcome the support as well.

So every ticket sold raises £2.50 for the RNLI and £2.50 for Dover Regatta, how I hear you ask?

Well the Chairman of DDC our own Cllr Sue Nicholas has worked her magic to help us get the Town Hall and Cllr Nigel Collor has helped with the Publicity and Programmes. So the only thing to pay for is the Sound and light people from Thanet Leisure Force,so that is why some tickets are a little more expensive £7.50 but even then the same amount of money will go to the same good causes.

The Show is being run on similar lines to the Help For Heroes Show which sold out,but things are a little slow around Christmas and New Year,so we are asking everyone to buy your tickets and invite friends and family. If we sold 400 tickets then we would raise £1000 for each of our causes.

The acts are mainly young talented people from the Town,or have an association with the Town and they are so eager to sing dance or play to the audience many practising for weeks, all we and they need is YOU! There are no noisey bands just talented people, and a few laughs and surprises.

Tickets are available in favourite haunts of Forumites The White Horse, Blakes in Castle Street,Dover Town Council Offices The Tourist Infomation Centre and Louise's New place Mascarada.

This is the 12th Show that I have helped to put on,and because of the time of the year the hardest because of the busy time of year....but things will be quieter on Jan 22nd and I would hate for you to miss out.
