On Wednesday and Thursday this week I had to go to the Town centre from Whitfield. Wednesday to see my GP and Thursday to attend the eye hospital at Buckland and then on to the Market Square. On both occasions I found nothing but kindness from people, I had to get the bus as I don't drive and I am walking with the aid of a crutch. All the bus drivers were courteous and helpful, people held doors open for me and one young girl gave up her seat on the bus.
Is it the icy weather that brings out the best in people.?
To top it all I had a chat in the library with our associate editor, Howard.
