story in the papers today about a chap that worked for immigration in a department that dealt with potential terrorists.
his wife goes on holiday to her family in pakistan, the chap who is fed up with her logs onto a database and records her as "not allowed on a flight to the u.k.". at the end of her holiday she gets to the airport and is told she is not allowed to fly, no reasom given. she then phones home to ask her husband what is happening, he tells her to leave it with him and he will investigate.
anyway he is now having the time of his life and forgets all about the missus. 3 years later(yes 3 years) he applies for promotion into a job that needs more security clearance. he is asked why he is married to a terrorist? he has to come clean and gets the sack.
I don't care if the story is true or false it is great.
