23:1894256The electricity was off at my place for most of the day (DIY).
So late afternoon we decided on a fish and chip tea. It was ok I suppose but I have to say was not happy with the price.
2 pieces of fish, 2 portions of chips and one battered sausage.......£11.80.
I think it will be a long time before I go for that again.

08:2194288I like junk food myself, Im a lowly affionado of the genre, but I too have noticed the hike in prices. Its now just as cheap near as dammit to go sit in one of those big chains like the Duke of York or Kittiwake or the Premier Inn even, where you get two full meals for a Tenner (£10).

08:3894293And the fish is bigger - haddock or plaice, the chips are better (crispy on the outside, not mush all through) and you can wash it down with a nice glass of wine or beer.

09:3194552If Alec is like me going down is not so bad it is coming up again that is the problem, even without the alcohol.

Peter, will try and get down the stairs Sunday lunch after church. I will be attending the Herald Remembrance service at St. Mary's at 11 am. Not been down since Bill Avery's funeral.
