Brian the same people who want to get to Manchester half an hour quicker! Its all about saving a bit of time here and there, it all might cost a fortune, but it is supposedly worth it.
I suspect the real use of the Mach 6 levels of performance will be with the military. Try stopping that one coming with a bunker buster attached.

mmmm.......
Two hour drive to Heathrow, 2 to 3 hours to check in and go through security, one hour flying time, an hour or two waiting for your luggage collecting it, getting through customs and immigration and an hours ride to Manhatten. Journey time Dover to New York - 8 hours but crossing 3,500 miles in just one of those hours. Something odd there, progress of a kind I suppose.
