If my home was built as strong as those we have in this country I would stay, if I lived in one of those posh lightweight sheds that seem to be the norm in the US I would go.

Is this another story overplayed by the 24 hour news channels? They almost create the news themselves rather than just report it, endless theorising and supposition. It is unusual for the hurricane to come that far up the east coast, granted, but looking at the pictures on the same channels, nothing seems too fierce. The power of the storm is diminishing all the time, in fact the winds off Scotland and the North East last night were of similar power.

Grandson Jamie has an internet friend in New Jersey and they have been evacuated.

My sister who lives in New Jersey got off relatively lightly just a few branches down from trees in her garden. Another of my sisters, who has gone to her for a holiday, has experienced an earthquake and now a hurricane - must remember not to go on holiday with her!!

All bit of an anti climax it was down graded to a tropical storm and people were out and about quite soon checking damage.
