    Seems so unfair that the Boulogne fishermen just laugh at our compliance. Ok we could (and I guess do) set the example that the other EU countries should follow. However can you imagine attempting to enforce the the rules in France? The fishermen would simply blockade the ports ,set fire to tyres on the main incoming roads and cause complete chaos-and their police(probably in a related union) just stand and watch. If the Brit fishermen blockaded Dover the UK authorities would probably arrest the lot, impound their vessels and ultimately throw them in jail. The same goes for most EU regulation-only we keep to it! It's all a very sick joke.
