Growing up in a catholic family and attending a convent school it wasn't something that was discussed much as I used to get bullied by some of the other pupils. It was always there though. When I left school I attended the College of Psychic Studies for 3 years to further develop it.
I do something called psychometry (reading from an object or photo) and remote viewing. I've been asked to help find lost articles many times, usually jewellery or important papers but the strangest one has to be a remote control. A chap contacted me as he was desperate to watch a cricket match and couldn't find his TV remote. I sensed he had gone in the kitchen to get something and inadvertently put it into a drawer. Sure enough he checked and voila, remote control found and he could watch the cricket! In the case of a missing ring I saw an image of it being under a red long curtain near the lining and luckily that's where it still was. I have also assisted the police on missing persons/murder investigations by remote viewing. They don't widely admit to using psychics unlike the US police, but they do occasionally call on us. I can't say it's particularly pleasant but if I can provide details and help in some small way then I am happy to do so.
I don't do as many readings as I used to now because I don't have the time, the writing, photography and Victorian lady appearances have sort of taken over.
People ask if I can tell what they are thinking or about the odd 'skeleton in the closet'. I don't walk around tuned into to everyone all the time, unless I am asked I don't go delving. So you are all safe.

An interesting posting above. As a catholic I realise the difficulties in that the church asks us not to meddle in the calling of spirits as they believe it's the stronger evil spirits that manifest themselves. This is aimed more at dabbling in the occult and ouija boards than anything else.
The church accepts there are spirits both good and evil and that some people like yourself are gifted and this gift is entrusted to you in order to benefit others. The finding and assisting the police to locate lost souls,missing persons etc being a good example.
We still pray to St Anthony to help us find lost items.
As you may be aware there is an ongoing case in the US where a psychic apparently told the police that a large number of missing children had been murdered and buried in a particular area. They spent many man hours,money etc in a blaze of publicity to excavate the site only to find nothing and that it was a hoax hence I presume this countrys reluctance to admit to using mediums.
Keep up the good work and as for last Thursday I was only innocently chatting to the young attractive blonde Polish barmaid about my trips to Warsaw during the Cold War period....honestly I must admit I did invite her to come up to my place to see a bit of the Iron Curtain I nabbed when the wall came down ..... I was called a witch and some kids would try and spin their heads round like the Exorcist or turn crucifixes upside down. The nuns gave me a hard time too as I told one of them I had seen an old nun and accurately described her (down to the holy medals she wore). Apparently this nun had died in the area where I had seen her, which was previously a dormitory. I was basically ignored by the teaching staff after that, I was so glad to leave!
The only time this deserted me was when I was very ill last year. I kept trying to 'read' people (doctors, nurses) and asked for a sign that I would get better. I received nothing. I honestly thought I was going to die. Once I got better it came back with a vengeance, more like a slap in the face as I picked up on a lady who had recently lost a beloved dog. Sometimes I do pick up very strong emotions even if I am not tuned in. It's mainly people who have had a loss, particularly of a child.
There has been a lot of negative press and I wish the industry was more regulated. I abore psychics that frighten people, I have been on the receiving end of it too and it scared the life out of me. I don't look for the bad stuff, I don't tell people they are on their way out, and I don't claim to reunite lost loves. I don't get the lottery numbers either; it can only be used for the greatest good. It's a gift and I have to respect that. - Jan Higgins

A great shame about the lottery numbers though. . I have always known what charities etc I would help with my millions once the family were sorted and the house redecorated.-----------------------------------------------------------------------
