Sporty afficonados amongst us will have heard in the bulletins over the weekend that Carlos Tevez who plays for Manchester City wants to leave the club. As I remember he left Manchester Utd to join City which caused something of a stir in that fair town.
However now he is unhappy with Manchester City and wants to leave..he doesnt like it, and we are assured its not about money and why would it be.
Manchester City are of course the new rich kids on the block. Their new owners have bags of money, and to tempt Tevez, and to get him to stay there at the club they are paying him...wait for it...£286,000 per week!!! This figure was swore to by one time hero Rodney Marsh on R4 this morning , quoting a "brilliantly reliable source". Yes thats it...per week. We've been here before with Rooney but not matching this level.
So there we have it. At those pay rates he is reckoned to be the highest earner right across Europe, so very few clubs could afford him. perhaps Real Madrid, Barcelona and a few like that.
So what does a totally unsophisticated uneducated Argentinian do with all that money. He cannot master basic english even though he has been here for 4 years so his options are limited...and after he has bought the obligatory Ferrari what then. Dim.
