    You are not far wrong there Howard .We used to have a holly branch with a few home made decorations .A sock as you state with an orange etc .Books the Old Rupert Annual and a Milly Molly Mandy were treasured .All books had to be covered in brown paper a task for Boxing Day .Thank yous were written with a new pencil .
