This afternoon an elderly couple came into Peacocks store, he to look at menswear and she to get a Tshirt she had decided to treat herself. Prior to going into the store they had picked up their pensions from the post office which the lady had put into her bag and zipped it up. Her bag was across her body. When they went to the till her purse was gone and the bag was unzipped. She was so upset, bless her. The staff helped her search the store but it was nowhere to be found. The store is on shopwatch and after some calls a manager in Boots said he remembered seeing the lady put the purse in her bag and zip it up.
To help out the store video was replayed and the mystery was solved. Two women, one with long blonde hair , the other with dark hair, could be seen jostling the lady and one unzipped the bag and took the purse - they then hurriedly left the store
You know what? I hope that money brings them as much bad luck as it can, may they suffer as that sweet old lady has and I hope, really hope the police find them and arrest them. The video isn't very clear but you never know. I am so angry!
