Hotmail..out of action!

  I am absolutely hamstrung this morning by not having Hotmail running...Have an update ready for the frontpage but cant access the information because I have no Hotmail.. Grrrr!! the frustration...

  Hotmail treat all my bulk-blind emails as spam and as a very large percentage of those on my email address groups are hotmail (and msn), it makes it virtually pointless thing to do.

  This might help. Open up an account with, say, Google mail. Then get all your hotmail forwarded automatically to the new gmail account so that when hotmail is down, hopefully, all your mail can be accessed by your gmail account.
  Works for me and when hotmail has been down I've managed to access important email.

  Interesting one there Philip...if things get worse would certainly consider that. A good tip. Fortunately and I may have been lucky.. its not very often I get any trouble with Hotmail.. says he touching wood.
  
  All back fully functioning now..was able to do the frontpage.

  I haven't sent one for quite some time Howard - individual emails are O.K. it's when I send a group of them.

  Never been keen on Hotmail, MSN or GMail (Google) for that matter - though I do have a a GMail account. Anyone with an NTL or Virgin media email account may already be aware that Google runs it!
  
  The one big failing of Google Mail is it's apparent inability to distinguish between addresses with and without dots in them: e.g. x.y.z@gmail.com is the same as xyz@gmail.com, yet Google deny this despite being given numerous examples. There is a lady vicar in Canada that must really detest me. She has an un-dotted variation of my own gmail address which she uses for various registered services. A couple of times I've visited these sites, logged in and asked for a password reset!

  I have a Gmail account so I can e mail from my phone, unable to get my windows mail to register on the phone :( it is probably a generation thing

  Do you mean Windows Live Mail MartinP? If so, then that is just the email client - the program you use to read your email.
