  Very nice, I've been up in a couple of hot air balloons - fantastic experience. The not so fantastic experience was nearly having to make an emergency landing in one on the A1001 but that's a whole other story.

  Great stuff lads..yes was quite a delight to see them yesterday. They came a year or two back as well, there was even more then as I remember...but always great to see. A photographers dream with the colours and so on.

  As said it was a lovely sight to see yesterday morning, the sun was shining and the sky was so blue perfect weather for them, we watched them for quite along while as they made there way across the channel. some lovely pictures of them chaps.

  After the balloons had passed over on sunday morning...well about 10 minutes later in fact.. while checking for any stragglers I noticed this lightshow in the sky. I think I remember some of the guys chatting previously on here about this minor phenomenon..Phil Eyden springs to mind. I think Phil had pictures. I know they had a name for the spectacle but I cant quite remember what its called...

  Ah sun dogs....thems the very things Ray - you're a star! Thats a good link there will have a better look at that later. The term parhelia is a bit worrying...sounds like something rather painful and incurable...lol!
