in local paper is the advert about the hosepipe ban from easter , there is an extra coloumn under concession
for example
no hosepipe on your garden ------------------------- concession over 65
does that mean us oldies can water our garden as i am over 70 ?
we could go around watering the neighbours at a pound a time !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

good thinking ron, a bit like the free t.v.licence for the over 75's.
amazing how suddenly many thought it was a great idea for an aged relative to live with them.

Do they think that the oldies are more sensible and will not waste water ???

More likely we are all very frail and unable to lift a watering can.

looks like it is a no go for over 65,s to use a hosepipe now
i had a list of 15 people who were going to give me a pound to water their gardens as i am over 80 , but guess that the goverment do not like us pensioners earning a bit of money as you saw in the budget
good story about the concessions in the mail last saturday
I have a blue badge and that gives me the right to use the hosepipe, for some reason.

Those who receive Attendance Allowance because of disability must still use a watering can NOT a hose.

Just a question: what happens if someone fills their watering can with the hose............?

This is the one more directly relevant to us, all 13 pages of it -
https://southeast.veoliawater.co.uk/docs/drought-restrictions-explained.pdf
Right down at the bottom of the page 1 (if I read it right!) it says that Terry can't use his hosepipe connected to a water butt unless he fills it up before Thursday
And later on it says he can use a hospipe if it's rainwater in the butt ( some chance) or greywater.
