This afternoon I've been to the local horse sanctuary open day (Remus in Essex) which thankfully wasn't cancelled for a 5th time due to flooding from all the rain we've had this year. I collected my sponsorship certificate for Minstral who I've 'adopted'. She was abandoned by her owners when her last foaling went wrong, leaving her with a grotesquely swollen stomach. She is doing really well now. It was a lovely afternoon looking at the horses, donkeys etc - not to mention the tea and cakes!
