Was actually visiting Jimbo yesterday who did not realise that this was 'out' in the public domain. (He hadn't even told Shirley in case it did not happen!)
Secretly I think he's really pleased that his work has been recognised - especially since so few, if any, of his 'fellow' councillors could not even be bothered to visit him when he was no longer 'important' and health issues have kept him at home for a while.
I told him his accepting the honour was absolutely dreadful. That I always turn such things down and that he'll be joining the bloody Masons next.
Secretly I think that I'm also quite pleased that his work has been recognised.
