If you had a choice of where to go for your holidays, no expense spared, where would you choose to go and with whom?
Also what would be your reason for choosing the place and your companions?

That's unfair Mr Bibby, too much temptation to resist a crack!
Two weeks in vigina, a deliberate misspell, or was it wishful thinking? Sorry too late to change your persona, you could qualify to be a perfect one in some people's eyes!

The Ideal Holiday
The ideal holiday, to my mind
turns not on who or what we take
but more on what we leave behind
not so much on the plans we make
but on choices of a different kind
The tale of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde
is known now to each and all
and is a clue to what we must decide
[think of the movie "Total Recall"]
find someone else, not 'I', to be beside
Who then would we rather be
to be, besides, beside the sea?
A 'one' from history or fiction
a hero taken from the shelves
a new not-you; prime destination
to have a holiday from ourselves
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

I thought for while that the COVID-19 'emergency' measures had stymied my holiday this year. I was nearly as disappointed as when I missed out on a month in the DDR when the wall started falling down back in 1989. (Seems to run in the family: the old folks had to cancel their trip to Budapest in 1956 when the bloody Hungarians revolted against the communists. And my sister never forgave the Prague Spring for losing her deposit in 1968.) Fortunately, North Korea just relocated to a once free land not far from where I live, so I'm going to hang out there for a while. Sorted.
