This is taken from the foot/bridle path between Sholden Village & Southwall Rd. Deal.
That is certainly worth painting!!

Beautiful soft autumnal style colours there Paul..well done with that. I suspect the colours still look autumnal as poor old nature is confused by the ongoing temperatures.

Yes there are fish in those dykes. I used to fish those drains as a youth(when walking was no problem) and caught tench,roach,perch and my favorite rudd.

I take my children out riding our bikes along there. Beautiful. Great photo.
I love Hockney (one of Britain's greatest modern artists) not just because of his work but because of his understanding.

I have never fished the smaller dykes for pike but I do remember running along the bank trying to keep up with an unseen monster that broke my 3lb line very easily when it went round a bend, very exciting, lol.
The North and South streams leading from the colliery pump house was always a favourite for pike, in the winter of course.
