Well there is still the western route via Folkestone and Ashford. Don't give up on it.Network Rail should be doing the right thing and repairing the Warren formation- or at least preparing to if it starts to move again. Apparently Network Rail are under great pressure to close Folkestone Central Station. Now this would give Dover a few more minutes nearer the hour on the high speed. An hour and fifty minutes is no good to man nor beast. How can that possibly assist wit Dover's well deserved regeneration? Forget the spur-spend the money on the Warren. Network Rail is as good as Nationalised now with the government agreeing to take on their massive debt-so they'll be awash with cash for this sort of community thing anyway. The North Eastern Route to Newcastle is as good as nationalised and making a profit. Perhaps the the Coalition might get round to noticing this and cash in on this new profitable nationalisation thing. Funny how the railways were privatised under the premise of curtailing waste - ironically it seems that we now have to re- nationalise to get the same effect.
