HGV Class 1 Relief Driver Required

  Ideally this position would suit a retired HGV Class 1 driver who lives in or around the Dover area who might like to keep their hand in.
  
  I am looking for someone to cover holidays for two drivers throughout the course of the year and would probably involve between 8 and 10 weeks in total, probably in blocks of two weeks. The job isn't strenuous and doesn't involve nights out, though it would involve runs across the channel on occasion. Otherwise the daily run is a multi-drop load (4 drops, 1 reload) around Heathrow.

  I shall call round a few of the old drivers who left the P.O when i did many havent bothered working.

  Its going to get harder after September 2014 when drivers must have DCPC card to work who in retirement is going to pay the £500 to get one.

  Cheers mate, can't ask more than that.
  
  Come September 2014 there will be a lot less drivers all round Guzzler. It's not only retired drivers who will struggle to pay for a week-long course that teaches nothing they don't already know.

  Ah but don't forget guy's, the Gov DID promise that when you get to old to do your MAIN job they would find you an alternative.

  Luck in one respect that my weeks training is mainly made up from my adr licence wich has to be sat every 5yrs
