  worth a lot more than the ones in the winter palace in st petersburg barry, could hardly resist.
  
  this year i will go for the louis the 14th chandelier.

  Yes I have had special access a couple of times, but it isn't at all safe for the public. I know that work had started on a conservation document for it (it is a scheduled monument on a listed pier) so it isn't straight forward.

  Unfortunately very dangerous and my last request was refused as the flooring is too rotten !! This was a couple of years ago when I got permission for a WW2 veteran to return

  We went up to St Radigund's - it was super to have the opportunity to visit, and we enjoyed it very much. Afterwards we (Simon, my brother, Carole, and I) went on to a couple of churches, where we were made very welcome, and after visiting a dear relative too, finished by seeing as many scarecrows as possible round River.
  
  They were super displays, and we cheered every time we spotted a new one. There were quite a few people going round. Great fun!

  Called at River yesterday to pick up a friend for a visit to Old Wives Lees, and was astounded by the 'scarecrow invasion' in River, they were everywhere watching everyone go by...
