For all those of you who think you could do better - how about applying for this. Annual salary up to £59,000, with a pay award pending, benefits, car allowance and a relocation package. There's also 27 days leave. plus bank Holidays and Christmas closure, private healthcare scheme, excellent local government pension scheme, free on-site parking and discounted membership for Dover Leisure Centre.
Who knows, the person who gets the job might be able to advise KCC on the town planning benefits (or otherwise) of parklets and bus and cycle lanes, and the Department of Transport on inland freight areas (except there was no pre-app with them, of course).
Dover District Council are looking for a full time, qualified Town Planner to lead their Development Management team which includes dealing with all types of planning applications and submissions from pre-app through to implementation.
Closing date 4 April, so get those CVs in.

I guess most of us could come up with more logical results than some of the past mistakes, but do not have those important qualifications needed to continue with the inevitable cock ups.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.
