I think the best thing that could happen is that the Dour have its main-river status taken away and allow it to be returned to local protection.
The Environment Agency either have no interest in the Dour, or the resources to look after it - or both.
As Ian has said many times, there is no control over what is dumped in there, no control over illegal fishing, owners encouraging their dogs to attack the ducks and ducklings with impunity.
It's as if the river doesn't exist.
I have written to various people and bodies over a period of time and never received a reply from one of them - is this disdain/disrespect for me, the river, or perhaps Dover ?
