Yes that was a terrible time for so many families both local and from further afield, virtually everybody who lived here seemed to know someone who was somehow involved however slight the link.

I lost a good mate on the Herald,in one week I had to go as a rep Of the Dover Sunday Football League to 9 local funerals,RIP
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

It was a shocker and no mistake. Perhaps PaulB will see something at the memorial today.
I did find documentary footage on youtube, but it was appallingly edited.
