  It's not that I mind giving to charities cos I don't and I always throw change into shaking buckets...mind you the local window cleaner was none too impressed recently but I think the more we,the general and now less well off,public continue to dig deep the less support successiive govts give the charities. It would appear its acceptable to send off these lads and lassies to foreign fields to implement the govts will but they then shirk their responsibilities towards family and relatives of the k.i.a or those wounded.
  
  It guiles me that they throw aid at India and China, 2 of the fastest growing economies in the world, but fail to take care of our armed forces leaving it to Joe Public to fill the gaps.
