  I am sure someone here will know.... do any of you have any local contact details for St Johns Ambulance (or Red X failing that) rather than a national number ?

  you may find that takes a few of us back to the late jack hewitt.
  a stalwart of that service.
  
  his house(just down the road to me) was called "st johns".
