Early evening and a thunderous roar. The earth shook..what was happening? ..then the answer ..they came into view from my left. Loads of them, between 200 or 300 strong. I had time to watch them for a while awestruck. I even had time to go fetch the camera and they were still rolling through. It was enough to gladden the heart of an ould biker I can tell you...
I guess by the insignia on their backs that they were Hells Angels but I didnt see it up close. Never have I seen so many at one go...they didnt go into the docks but rolled on up Jubilee Way. Where were they heading? My innards were revving in tandem. The thunderous throb of the Harley Davidson engines..fab.
They took over the length and breadth of the roadway, they werent going fast but nobody else was coming through...
Did anyone else see the spectacle go by about 6pm or so?
