Seems genuine enough to me.
Greetings Beloved Friend,
I sent this mail praying for it to reach you in good health, since I myself are in a very critical health condition in which I sleep every night without knowing if I may be alive to see the next day.
My name is Mrs. Irena Bannai Boris a widow suffering from long time illness. I have some funds I inherited from my late husband, the sum of ($11.5 Million Dollar) my Doctor told me recently that I would not last due to the illness.
Having known my condition, I decided to donate this fund to a good person that will utilize it the way i am going to instruct herein. I need a very honest and God fearing person who can claim this money and use it for Charity works, for orphanages, widows and also build schools for less privilege that will be named after my late husband if possible.
I accept this decision because I do not have any child who will inherit this money after I die.
Please I want your sincerely and urgent answer to know if you will be able to execute this project, and I will give you more information on how the fund will be transferred to your bank account.
I am waiting for your reply.
Mrs. Irena Bannai Boris

Good man, I imagine you had to send her a few quid just to get the funds transfered and all that paperwork malarkey sorted!

Only a trifling few thousand to cover genuine incidental expenses as one would expect.

Naturally. I am sure she will be eternally grateful.
Now if I could find someone to help me transfer the 500 million Naira out of my distant Nigerian relatives dormant bank before It gets claimed by the Govermant that would be a great result, don't suppose you know anyone?

What I'd like to know is what's so special about Mr McS, such that Mrs Boris picked him out to be her distributor of choice. I mean, so I've managed to mix the occasional unsound investment with donations to sick animals, but that doesn't make me a bad person.
(Not my real name.)

When I broached this with the dear lady she said that in Nigeria I was seen as a cult figure, the line was a bit crackly though.

Thanks for sharing that Howie. These guys always crack me up. Lately I’ve been answering to their emails, humiliating them like NUTS and wasting their time.
But if we for a second imagine these are not some Nigerian creeps, see how many gaps I have found with this “woman’s” story:
1. Irena Bannai Boris — the name just looks retarded first to start off with;
2. She’s “in soooo bad critical health condition” but goes and sends emails to strangers;
3. She decided to donate her money to a “good person”, and she automatically knows a complete stranger on the Internet is a “VERY good person”;
4. Typing “11” but ending with “million dollar”, not with “million dollars”;
5. “Build schools for less privilege” but not “for less privilegeD”;
6. “I do not have any child”;
Hahaha, you can clearly see what is happening right here. A Nigerian or another African scammer trying to make some money for Christmas is what it is.
But one thing baffles me. Nigerians and other African lands have the English language as their official main language and yet these guys’ mistakes are unforgivable ahaha.
Just imagine for a second how LOW their literacy rate is.
And how unaware you have to be to not spot how stupid these people are. They continue doing that in 2018 we will be already, so this means they have some minor success rate.
I’m not a Professor or an Engineer but I spot mistakes you can’t just pass by hahah.
Overlooking the scamminess nature of this letter is NOT POSSIBLE for a real human!
