    Most if not all supermarkets sell cheap processed foods, which are the worst culprits, but with people's budgets being cut, it's no wonder, they're bought in such numbers - sweets for the kids - absolutely loaded with refined sugar.

    A few years down the line, more than the money that is being cut now, will be spent on treating the people with heart-disease, diabetes, kidney failure etc.

    Maybe more should be spent now on educating people about the consequences of the various foods and showing what they'll become and the pain involved.
    Maybe legislation on foodstuffs and what they can make and sell. The proof is there.

    I don't like the "Nanny-State", but this would save so much - for the individual and the state.
