  Jan - you miss the point I am making.
  
  We have all been lead to believe that the NHS is wonderful, that we have a wonderous welfare state. But the fact is we have all been victims of a big con trick - me included.
  
  Time to speak out about the Emperor with no clothes....
  
  If you were German or French you would not want to swap to the inferior British system.
  
  Time to wake up and look at what we have from the perspective of other countries.
  
  Time to start demanding a system in which you get diagnosed and treated right away with no waiting lists at all, regardless of whether you are rich or poor. A system where vital drugs are not banned. Time to start demanding a system in which we can all expect the very best treatment for cancer to match anywhere in the world with survival rates to match.
  
  The NHS has not delivered that, it never has, and it simply cannot do so. This is not a matter of money either and nothing to do with the superb staff who work so hard in that inferior system.
  
  That is why we need an insurance lead system. All of us will be better off but no politician will dare to tell the truth or they will be attacked for being against the holy of holys. Any move to change must come from the grass roots.
