  The public involvement was vital to ensure that the priorities given to the project are those that matter most to the people of Dover. Rather than give the project its own budget the idea is for it to be funded out of the various bugets concerned, so that street cleaning is taken out of the street cleaning budget etc. Quite how this will work when those budgets are set to cover the cost of the district has not really been made clear. For the Town Councils part we will push ahead with getting to know exactly what it is the people of Dover want to see and do our best to make sure that the correct contacts are known. A useful list of numbers can be found on the back of the Festival of Dover programmes which are available in the office at Maison Dieu House.
