To put my two pennies worth in, I'm just not the type for posting regularly, I'm just not into writing, don't have the time or the energy, not to mention I am reluctant to express my opinions in writing, in public, on any controversial issues for fear it would affect my job. I am sure I am not alone in all of this. However, when the need or urge arises, it's great to be able to come on here and make a posting or submit something to Paul. Not to mention that I read it nearly every day. If something happens this is the first place I come to find out if others know what's going on, and often they do.
For example, a day of high winds in Dover, I was in Stembrook car park when a tree came down, took a picture and sent it straight to PaulB. Also, when we had the fire at the church in the High Street, again I was able to send my photos in. I see that sort of thing as the contribution that I feel comfortable making, while others like to debate on topical issues etc.
I agree with others that a slow down in posting shouldn't mean the end, but also maybe it is a bit too exclusive, therefore something needs to change, but not end. It would be a sad day for Dover if it ended, it has become an institution of Dover. I'm not just saying that because my husband started it, but because I truly believe it.
Well done Paul!
