  Some might say that it is an oxymoron but no real surprise that Princess Anne wins again even visiting Dover just to show her working class affiliations.

  If she needs a hand at the onerous task of being chauffeur driven round the country to shake hands with pompous civic dignitaries and eat free food I'm up for it.

  Pompous civic dignitaries? I can't imagine she encountered any of them on her visit to Dover.

  Re the above post.I was present when Princess Anne visited Dover last year .The Mayor and I were guests at the visit to the yacht club.Far from bring pompous chains were not worn. tThe Mayor and I along with the Bishop of Dover stood for over forty five minutes in our allotted space before HRH arrived.The visit was brief the Mayor and I walked to. Pencester iWent home on the bus and the Mayor walked to her home.Civic cars were not used. Food was not provided.So Mr Little it's not all glamour .
