  beat me to it, i cannot ever see the port going bankrupt.
  
  it is the shortest route between mainland europe and here and other local ports would have no chance of taking the superferries.
  
  of course there will be peaks and troughs in trade, any investment in the port will never get a great return but a return nonetheless.
  
  i am very critical of the prevarication on the decision, potential investors need to know what is happening before they get their chequebooks out.
