  The harassment and abuse of elders, the young, the disabled is, in fact, an everyday occurence which is largely ignored because it happens to a minority group. A society can be judged by how it treats its vulnerable and its weak. While a large part of me is irritated by the patronising assumption that all disabled people are vulnerable - that simply isn't true!! - having a disability does raise the target profile somewhat, draws attention, and that can attract bullys. I thuink Jans point is telling - how many people are more bothered by the financial discussions than this one?!
